Top to Bottom
Moving into an older home in Ladd’s Edition had been a dream for these clients for some time. Upon finding the house they knew would make a great long term home, they called us to help blend the qualities of an older home with their modern aesthetic. From a new shared family bath on the top floor, to opening up the kitchen and breakfast nook on the main floor, to creating additional living and utility spaces in the basement, this old gem is now shiny new.
It's hard to remember what this kitchen looked like prior to our work; we removed walls, shifted appliances, and added a half-bathroom and breakfast nook. In addition, we installed all new plumbing, water heater, furnace, and electrical – all of which have this house operating like it's brand new.
We redesigned the passageway from the dining room into the kitchen for better flow and to match the arches found elsewhere in the home. Fun light fixtures from Rejuvenation compliment the revitalized original cabinets and wainscoting; blending old and new really works on projects like this.
In this extensive, multifaceted project we renovated living room, dining room, kitchen, upstairs bath, and full basement for a cohesive, refreshed look throughout – click through to see it all! We designed the shelving to tie into the period look and feel of the home, while also adding great display and storage space.
